Are you a qualified chemist/chemical engineer with experience in Technical Sales & willing to travel?

Our client is a multi-national corporation who manufacture chemical products for a wide spectrum of industries.  The Cape Town-based business centre supports South Africa and the SADC region, and their core business is to provide product and technical solutions to their customers. The products and services they sell are extensive and include polymers, niche chemicals and chemical formulations in both small and large volume quantities, depending on the product.

This role reports to the Business Manager and is responsible for managing the existing sales channels and sourcing new business in South Africa and the SADC region. The role is office-based and travel to customers is mostly by air. Responsibilities will include regular customer visits in the region ensuring good sales performance and customer satisfaction, coordinating with logistics regarding deliveries to customers, developing an understanding and implementing administrative / documentation requirements for import, export and shipping of chemical products, preparing sales contracts and coordinating final details with respect to legal requirements.
