The Department participates in the Research Unit in Bioinformatics (RUBi) hosted by the Rhodes Department of Biochemistry and Microbiology. Prof Philip Machanick delivers courses in the coursework MSc Bioinformatics, and conducts research in the Computer Science side of bioinformatics.
