Introduction

Reporting into the HR / Ops Director, the aim of this function is to ensure that the business’s daily accounting function runs accurately and effectively as well as to provide general HR support to the Business.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collation and preparation of month-end payments
  • Update customer details as and when required.
  • Contact customers for payment and record all communication.
  • Run weekly COD reports and follow up on unpaid monies.
  • Capture post-dated cheques, daily customer receipts off bank statements and process rebates and discounts.
  • Capture daily payments off the bank statement.
  • Maintain filing system and ensure timeous filing each month.
  • Load credit applications for COD customers and notify of successful application and account number.
  • Complete trade references for management approval, load account details and notify customers of successful application for 30-day accounts.
  • Print monthly statements and send to customers when requested.
  • Update CFC account and journal entries
  • Print monthly commission statements and distribute to sales reps each month.
  • General HR admin duties including but not limited to; compilation of meeting minutes, coordinate training as and when required, time and attendance admin and staff communications.

         Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 with exemption pass.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous.
  • Basic MS Office skills.
  • Prior accounts experience essential
