ABOUT THE COMPANY – METROPOLITAN/ MMI HOLDINGS

ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED & COVERAGE VALUE

MMI will be awarding bursaries to students pursuing their studies towards an Actuarial Science Bachelor’s degree, who have completed their first year of study.

The bursary will cover the following expenses: registration fees, tuition fees, meals, accommodation, allowance for prescribed textbooks, travel allowance, pocket allowance. Students will also receive mentor support, academic and social support.

MORE ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – SERVICE CONTRACT & SELECTION

Bursary receipients will be required to partake in experiential learning during vacation breaks. Once students have graduated, they will be required to enter a service contract which will be equal to the duration of funding received.

Successful applicants will be contacted by 16 September 2019 at the latest – if you do not receive any feedback by this date, please regard your application as unsuccessful.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • South African citizen
  • Completed Matric
  • Completed your 1st year of study towards an actuarial science Bachelor’s degree qualification
  • Achieved a minimum average of 70% for tertiary studies
  • Have a passion for numbers
  • Students with disabilities are welcome to apply
