Introduction

Our holding company, Christian Art Distributors, currently has a vacancy for a Stock Manager to be based at our Head Office in Vereeniging, Gauteng.

Duties & Responsibilities

Purpose of Role

We are looking for a dynamic person who will be responsible for Local Supplier & Media Communication and Retail Stock Management.

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Data Base Management:
  • Make suggestions regarding retail selling status according to set criteria
  • Maintain retail product planning
  • Responsible for correct images, image quality and specification
  • Responsible for the correctness of registration template before registration and ordering of products

 

2. Stock Management Responsibilities:

  • New Registrations set up, price negotiation, place orders, check invoice, price confirmation
  • Order and re-order suggestions
  • IBT Grids
  • Promotion Suggestions & Price Plan set up after approval
  • Manage stock in warehouse and CUM Books
  • Price negotiations with local suppliers
  • Communication with CUM Books Team regarding key releases (local suppliers)
  • Communication with CUM Books Team regarding price plans & price updates
  • Communication to warehouse regarding special requests
  • Manage pricing according to set criteria regarding GP’s

 

3. Product Planning

  • End Cap prep, meeting, execution, evaluation, feed back
  • Seasonal promotion prep, meeting, execution, evaluation, feed back
  • Input and preparation for weekly and monthly forum meetings

 

4.  Set-up of New Suppliers – information to Finance

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum requirement – Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics
  • 5 years working experience
  • Extensive experience in administration and buyer role will be advantageous

Skills & Competencies

  • Computer literate and extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Advanced Excel skills would be advantageous
  • Able to work under pressure and meet required deadlines, handle high volumes of work
  • Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English

  • Accuracy, attention to detail and problem-solver/ logical approach to problem solving
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbally and orally
