Recruiting for a highly experienced  Head of Services with extensive Proven leadership and managerial capabilities.

Key criteria:
• Minimum of 4 – 5 Years’ Senior Management experience within an Investment/Asset Management industry
• Minimum of 4 – 5 Years’ experience within an Operational Management position of either a LISP/Unit Trust or Investment Platform business
• Strong business acumen, including domain-specific knowledge of the LISP/Unit Trust specifically in compliance and legislation relating to Group Retirement Annuities, Offshore Investments, Payments and Transfers.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to

  • Ensure adherence and improvements to Service Level Agreements and deal with escalations to resolution
  • Own escalations and act to resolve with the required Service Level
  • Identify opportunities to improve service, reduce risk and improve efficiency
  • Define and constant review of processes within different operations environments as the incumbent is the Subject Matter Expert in this area
  • Develop optimal relationships with all stakeholders who influence the efficiency of the organisation, externally or internally
  •  Analyse trends, determine root causes of low perceptions and work to rectify
  •  Drive a service ethic to team
  •  Display innovation and creative thinking in optimising the performance of the Team
  •  Initiating and implementing process changes within the area managed
  • Develop and maintain optimal relationships with all stakeholders who influence the efficiency of the organisation, externally or internally
  •  Own new product implementations successfully implemented within operational teams from conceptualisation to implementation
  •  Knowledge expert within environment including product and legislation ensuring ability to make decisive correct decisions
  • Empower employees for growth to provide sustainable operations with appropriately skilled replacement candidates
  • Drive service and quality orientated culture throughout teams
  • Ensure that plans are in place to ensure business continuity in all scenarios. These would be systems, people, and processes
  • Identify, develop and maintain appropriate skills levels aligned with strategic intent
  • Responsible for all aspects of recruitment, development and training, budgets, performance management and disciplinary hearings, projects, management information, incentive initiatives, increases, bonuses, liaison with intermediaries and clients, query resolution, understanding the client end-to-end experience

Desired Experience & Qualification

Education
• Matric
• Bachelor of Commerce Degree In Business Management/Science, Finance, Investments, Economics or related qualification would be preferred
• Postgraduate degree (Advantageous)
Experience
• Track record of innovation, delivery and performance
• Proven leadership and managerial capabilities
• Minimum of 4 – 5 Years’ Senior Management experience within an Investment/Asset Management industry
• Minimum of 4 – 5 Years’ experience within an Operational Management position of either a LISP/Unit Trust or Investment Platform business
