Introduction

An innovative organisation that is passionate about using technology in education to pursue an outcomes based intervention that can meaningfully impact learners in South Africa. They deploy online English and numeracy literacy programmes in underprivileged primary schools across South Africa. These programmes offer young learners the opportunity to work at their own pace through fun and enjoyable activities while navigating their learning journey by means of technology. This organisation is not only addressing the literacy crisis but also equipping young learners with the technological skills required for future success. The Training Coordinator is responsible for the support of existing and new schools through the in-person training of facilitators and teachers. You will work with the Relationship Coordinator and Growth Coordinator in identifying the environments which require training, support, mentorship and remediation guidance. The role requires strong training, planning, reporting and communication skills. The position will require you to assist the Training Manager in content refinement and development on a monthly basis. The role also requires a completion of a minimum of 15 training sessions per month whilst ensuring all training records are updated accordingly. You will be required to give feedback on proposed changes in content to the Training Manager on a monthly basis. You will also be required to create content for the manuals on an ad-hoc basis.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Training and upskilling of facilitators, teachers and principals

  • District collaboration – training e-learning facilitators
  • Content creation in collaboration with the Training Manager
  • There are skills needed by the organisation that may be identified above and beyond what the role requires. These may be assigned to you as part of your role

Key Performance Metrics:

The Training Coordinator will be required to meet monthly training targets and will be evaluated after each training and presentation session through surveys sent to the respective parties. Due to the interrelated relationship between the well-trained facilitators, school buy in and school performance, you as the Training Coordinator will also be accountable for school usage within your respective regions. The Regional Manager will conduct a termly KPI session in which the following metrics will be assessed:

  • ≥80% usage
  • ≥80% training rating
  • ≥15 training sessions per month

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Minimum qualification – Matric Certificate
  • Training expertise in the education sector
  • At least 2 years’ work experience
  • Strong planning, mentorship, training and development skills
  • Strong affinity towards team work
  • Excellent record keeping skills
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Package & Remuneration

R15,000 – R30,000 (negotiable based on experience)
