MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

DSV Healthcare is seeking an innovative Leader who encompasses sound technical (engineering) expertise, project management capability, continuous improvement as well as strong people management skills. This Executive will be required to interact with external clients, internal operations and lead a team of Industrial Engineers & Project Managers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Change Implementation and Project Management

  • Overseeing New client take-on’s (scoping project, stock transfer & Go Live stabilization) and client exits
  • Initiates the business implementation plan, including all activities that business needs to prepare for new technical components and technologies
  • Tracks and reports on projects & implementations against financial, productivity and client specific KPI’s to ensure progress & successful completion
  • Assisting key functional areas (Operations) to convert strategic goals into tangible projects
  • Management and overseeing of Key Strategic projects such as facility consolidation, construction etc

Continuous Business Improvement

  • Manage and execute on the internal audit process for the operations departments
  • Driving CPI’s that stem from audit findings, creating action plans, corrective and/or preventative actions within allocated timeframes and reporting of results/outcomes timeously
  • Analysis and recommendations: Data (analysis, comparison, sense checking), Processes (supporting business objectives, complete, accurate, relevant, error proofed, common exceptions covered, measurable), Facilities (best practices, flow, flexibility, compliance)
  • Continuous reviewing, analysis and refining of current processes
  • Business cases / feasibility studies: Develop as required depending on financial investment required and risk profile. Tools and aspects to consider include ROI calculations, quantified value, opportunity for productivity improvements and future growth / revenue potential;

Leadership

  • Leading the Engineering, Pricing and Project Management team
  • Motivate, coach and mentor staff to ensure maximum productivity and development of staff to their full potential
  • Provide leadership and direction in line with the organizational goals
  • Directly support, selection and recruitment, training and development, performance management, and leadership aligned to DSV culture of people values
  • Part of the Executive Committee and has such fulfils an overall Leadership role and responsibility

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong, collaborative and value-adding relationships with all relevant stakeholders
  • Fulfilling the role of Executive Sponsor – Effectively engaging with clients, reviewing strategic initiatives & client escalation point
  • Client & Vendor engagement
  • Ensure that the incumbent and the team have a clear understanding of the internal stakeholder needs i.e. successful collaboration with Operations team & other internal stakeholders is critical
  • Member of the Pricing committee, IT committee and Engineering/Innovation Council

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Degree in Engineering (Preferably Industrial Engineering) or Project Management

Certificate in Change Management would be an advantage

Computer Skills

MS Office – with Advanced Excel skills

Visio

Experience Required

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Engineering / Project Management.

At least 3 years experience at a Senior Management level

At least 3 years experience managing a team

Business Acumen & change management experience

Experience in the Logistics / Supply Chain industry is a definite advantage

Knowledge on ERP / warehouse management systems

Knowledge of continuous improvement processes, Lean or Six Sigma technologies

Financial acumen: Proven experience in budgeting & managing actual versus budget, including CAPEX, OPEX and P&L’s

Own transport and ability to travel nationally and internationally as and when required

Ability to work under pressure

Highly organized, deadline driven and outcomes oriented

Additional Requirements

Previous Consulting experience an advantage

Pharmaceutical industry experience is an advantage

Must have analytical & problem solving capabilities

Ability to lead high-performing team

Experience with Robotics

Quality Planning

Facilitation skills, effective experience in leading & influencing a diverse group through planning and/or problem solving activities for effective outcomes.

Supply Chain Management accreditation such as CSCP, SCOR-P, etc.

Project Management accreditation such as Prince2 or PMP
