Our client invites the application for a Financial Manager job opportunity – Reporting to the MD.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities

Managing all financial and risks aspects of the business

Management of accounts department of 3 staff members

Ensure accurate and timeous reporting on all levels up to management accounts and annual financial statements

Ensure Tax compliance

Cash flow management and forecasting

Managing all commercial aspects of the business (insurance, legal, statutory, IT system, etc.)

Responsible for the monthly stocktakes

Manage the company’s foreign debt exposure

Customer credit control management

Compiling annual budget together with MD and monitoring of performance against budget

Investigate and ensure individual product and customer profitability

Inventory forecasts and efficiencies

Ensure transport costs efficiencies inbound and outbound

Responsible for timeous and successful annual external audit of the business

Responsibility for timeous and successful completion of the BEE audit, including management of the various BEE programs and initiatives

Location – East Rand

Start Date – Immediately if possible

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum BCom Accounting Degree

CA (SA) would be an advantage but is not a requirement

8 – 10 Years , commercial experience, some of it having had responsibility for the overall financial management of a company at a CFO or similar level

Experience with overseas procurement / imports

Successful track record of managing a team of at least 3-4 staff members

Debtors and creditors financial processes

Compiling monthly Management Accounts

Cashflow management and forecasting

Inventory management and forecasting

All tax relating to normal business operations

Responsible for the BEE process

Good working knowledge of the Companies’ Act and other statutory requirements

 

Competency Requirements

Management & Leadership skills

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy across high volume of diverse data and numbers

Urgency in setting a driven, highly pressurised work pace ensuring proactive delivery, ahead of timelines, by self and others

Exceptional computer literacy including an expert level in Microsoft Excel (Essential).

Pastel Accounting experience will be an advantage

Analytical thinking, Problem Solving & Decision-making skills

Ability to implement systems and plans

Sound communication skills
