Ekurhuleni East TVET College Nsfas Application

NSFAS is a state entity reporting to the Department of Higher Education and Training. NSFAS provides financial assistance in the form of a study bursary to qualifying students who wish to study or are already studying at TVET colleges and public universities.

National Student Financial Aid Scheme was established in 1996, replacing the Tertiary Education Fund of South Africa (TEFSA) in 1999. The TEFSA program was a non-profit company that managed and administered NSFAS from its establishment until 2000

Nsfas Open Date

Nsfas Online Application Opens on 1 September and closes on November 302022.

Applicants who are approved for NSFAS funding are covered by the following:

Registration
Tuition

Allowances for:

Food
Accommodation or transport
Learning material
Personal care

NSFAS Requirement

Applicants need to be South African citizens.
Be registered or intend to register for NCV or NATED (Report 191) Programme
A Person in need of financial support.
Academically good students who need financial support.

The following documents are needed for NSFAS Application;

Authorized copies of the Identity Document
Original Academic Results Latest
Proof of parent’s income
Proof of Death Certificate
Doctor’s Certificate

-You may also choose to visit any Buffalo City TVET College Campus – Student Support Service for assistance.

-Please ensure that you have the correct documents (certified not older than 3 months) in electronic format available:

- Your South African ID or a birth certificate( if you do not have a green bar-coded ID or smart ID card)
- ID of parents and/or guardian or death certificate where applicable.
