Course Description
The department has a very strong research tradition at the MA and PhD levels. There are numerous opportunities for research in South African history, especially the Eastern Cape region. The Cory Library has excellent research holdings.
MA or PhD applicants need to complete the appropriate application forms (available at the Student Bureau) and return them to the department for approval by the Head of Department, subject to approval by the Rhodes Higher Degrees Committee.
