Introduction
A successful animal feed company, who are at the forefront of unique technologies, core competencies and innovative feed formulations, are looking for a Senior Accountant to join their existing finance team.
Reporting to the Financial Manager, you will oversee general accounting by controlling and verifying financial transactions.
Duties & Responsibilities
Reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures.
Preparation of financial statements
Cost accounting
Credit risk management
Stock control loss management
Combine excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts
Ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks
Collaborate with and manage a team of accountants and junior accountants
Desired Experience & Qualification
BCom Financial Accounting with completed articles OR CA(SA) qualification
Post articles/qualification experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with Sage Business online would be highly advantageous
Due to the inherent requirements of the role, this position requires fluent communication skills in both English and Afrikaans
Package & Remuneration
Salary up to R516 000 CTC dependent on skills, experience and qualifications
