Introduction

A restaurant chain franchaise managing a store used for training purposes as well as trainIing new staff and franchisees on the operating procedures of the company ensuring all is aligned with government training requirements is looking for a Training Manager . The incumbent will be required to update and maintain the training curriculum in line with company requirements.

  Updating and maintaining the training curriculum in line with company requirements.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Store Responsibilities

 

  • Managing the weekly food cost.
  • Managing variances on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Analyzing the profit and loss summaries.
  • Ensuring accuracy of all daily expenses and searching for unauthorized expenses.
  • Verifying store floats and cash ups
  • Ensuring all daily deposits have been banked into the store’s account.
  • Compiling monthly expense sheet summaries.
  • Ensuring all purchases made outside of RCE are invoiced at the correct prices and the quality is satisfactory (with specific reference to all perishables).
  • Ensuring all stores are properly staffed and operating according to operational standards required by H/O.  Reviewing all staff rosters.
  • Managing stock levels.
  • Ensuring the store places the correct orders from all suppliers and that each store has adequate stock at all times.
  • Ensuring the product quality of all finished foods as well as the quality of all products produced to the predetermined standards set by H/O.
  • Ensuring all stores are clean and the hygiene levels are appropriate.
  • Ensuring all the stores deliver efficient service to all our customers.
  • Ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
  • Ensuring that all employees are dressed as per franchise standards.
  • Identifying and assessing future and current training needs through observation as well as store report analysis.

Training Responsibilities

 

  • Conducting effective induction and orientation sessions with prospective franchisees.
  • Monitoring and evaluating training program’s effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and report on them.
  • Managing the training budget.
  • Submitting Annual Training Report and Workplace skills plan to SETA for SDL Contribution Claim back.
  • Providing opportunities for ongoing development in line with NQF requirements.
  • Resolving any specific problems and tailoring the training programs as necessary and in line with NQF standards.
  • Maintaining a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices.
  • Keeping up to date with the government training requirements.
  • Surveying the staff to determine which competencies require more training.
  • Managing training accommodation.
  • Managing new store trainees training times.

 

Desired Experience & Qualification

3 years experience in the industry

5 years training experience

Qualified SDL Facilitator and qualified assessor for developing SETA approved training courses is vital.
