Introduction
Our client in the mining software industry is looking for a Marketing Manager to join their team in Bryanston.
This role is responsible for the execution of marketing activity in the Africa region. Working closely with the Regional Manager to meet the achievement of African sales targets, the incumbent will plan and execute all African marketing activity in line with corporate strategy.
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Brand
- Input to and implement consistently globally decided brand plans to deliver consistent messaging across the business in the region
- Input to and support evaluation of effective branding activities including conference attendance/investment in the region
Management
- Propose and manage Africa specific marketing budget and associated processes in conjunction with Regional Manager, Head of Global Marketing and Finance
Online
- Provide country specific relevant content for the intranet
Leads
- Deliver as required lead generation activities to drive stated sales targets
- Manage country level lead tracking process, monitor Customer Acquisition Cost per channel and provide recommendation to improve processes and metrics
- Manage and track lead generation and close rates in the region
Product
- Support delivery of customer journey and customer segmentation analysis as directed by Head of Global Marketing
- Input to the product release cycle for external releases to the market with effective messaging and promotion
- Monitor competitor activity in local market and propose country specific effective positioning and differentiation strategies across the product range
- Input to the key selling points for each product line as required and proposed local campaigns to support sales team initiatives
- Develop local client case studies reference material
Public relations
- Deliver strong relationship with key local press and industry bodies for the promotion of business products and messaging
- Deliver consistently and effectively messaging for the business
Miscellaneous
- Some travel may be expected (domestic and international)
- Other tasks as directed by your manager(s)
Desired Experience & Qualification
NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS:
- 5-8 years product marketing experience
- Degree qualified
- 3-5 years’ experience in mining industry (desirable)
- Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficient in using Salesforce
- Proficient in Adobe software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
