Introduction
Our client is seeking to engage a well-experienced Payroll clerk/administrator on a full-time basis to take the company to the next level regarding Payroll processes and administration
Duties & Responsibilities
- Take initiative to improve processes and find new and exciting ways in which to improve document trails and filing.
- Identify shortcomings and suggest improvements to the responsible manager.
- Design and implement effective controls around the Payroll process.
- Liaise and work with various external third parties linking into the business with regards to Payroll, being, amongst others the UIF, COIDA, Pension, and Provided Funds as well as LAAPI (Labour Affairs Association for the Pharmaceutical industry).
- Develop and have excellent relationships with all staff and you are skilled at resolving staff problems.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Have an appropriate qualification relating to the Administration and processing of monthly Payroll.
- Experience or a qualification in Taxes and levies including PAYE, UIF, and SDL.
- Knowledge of tax
- Experience working on Pastel VIP or similar Payroll software
- At least 3 years experience in Payroll administration
