Duties & Responsibilities
Job & Company Description:
This leading employer in the mining industry is looking to bring on an experienced VAT Accountant who is passionate about delivering effective and efficient strategy around VAT processes and policies and who looking to grow their career for the long game. This individual will be responsible for delivering the VAT reports, ensuring VAT compliance, identifying and eliminating potential VAT risks, manage relationships with stakeholders and providing support and expertise to the wider groups tax strategy.

Education:
- BCom in Accounting or Taxation is essential and non-negotiable
- Additional qualifications in VAT are advantageous
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- 4 – 6 years’ experience in a similar role
- Proven experience in a similar industry – mining, manufacturing, engineering etc.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Outstanding technical knowledge in VAT
- Strong team player
