Introduction
Reporting to the General Manager our client is seeking to appoint a driven and self-motivated cable specialist. This is a senior-level position where you will be required to develop the KZN region. The key to this role is your specialist product knowledge in cabling. A proven track history in operating within the industry sectors and selling at a decision-maker level is essential. The main scope for this position is to actively seek out and engage commercial, industrial and residential reticulation project prospects and provide solutions for customers.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate (essential)
- Tertiary qualification preferably in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 3-4 years cabling sales experience
- Strong knowledge of electrical products
- Must be computer literate
- Intimate knowledge of the area
- Must have a valid driver’s licence
Key Result Areas:
- Calling and following up on Industry end users, switchgear panel builders, system integrators,
- Conduct preliminary site inspections and energy studies together with engineer and technician
- Compile an accurate and comprehensive database on customers and their relationships
- Generating growth of allocated and new customer base on power quality products and solutions
- Prepare customer proposals, reports and quotations
- Prepare and conduct training/presentations to customers
- Maintaining sales and support to existing clients
- Conducting exhibitions and customer-specific training if required
- Update customer base on product updates and new products
- Prepare and report on sales for your area
- Attend key project or customer meetings
- Compile monthly sales review and forecasts
- Assist engineering and technical staff with projects and studies
