Diploma in International Studies

The Postgraduate Diploma in International Studies consists of five courses in the field of International Studies with a focus on Africa. The entry requirement is a good undergraduate in any field.

Honours

The Honours degree consists of five courses (or four courses and a long paper) in Political and International Studies.

Students choose from a range of courses and can therefore tailor their degree to their interests.

The entry requirement is a good undergraduate degree in any field.

Master’s

Students may register for etiher a combined coursework and thesis Master’s degree or a Master’s degree by thesis only.

The Master’s by coursework and thesis consists of three approved postgraduate courses and a thesis of 15 000 to 25 000 words.

The required thesis length for Master’s by thesis only is 30 000 to 50 000 words.

 

Students need a good second class pass for their Honours degree in order to be admitted.
