Introduction
Provide an administrative function in tracking, collection and reconciliation of all pallets at customers and in the Plants and pallet yards.
Interact with customers and transporters to ensure effective collection of Sephaku pallets to ensure sufficient pallet stock available at the Plants.
Duties & Responsibilities
Pallet Stock
- Reconcile pallet stock at all pallet plants
- Reconcile customer pallet collection requests
- Reconcile pallet transfers between pallet yards and plants
- Daily stock counts to be done at Sephaku Pallet Yards
- Daily Update of the Sephaku Stock Sheet
- Daily inspect pallets set aside to be scrapped
Customer Requests
- Manage the pallet collection mailbox
- Update the customer collection list daily on the shared drive
- Update customer collections list daily per province , per pricing point
- Update customers daily on planned pallet collection dates
- Follow-up on all customer queries regarding collections
Collections
- Reconcile pallet collections per transporter with loads to go per transporter
- Distribute pallet collections schedule daily to transporters
- Follow up with transporters on a regular basis on the status of collections
Transfers
- Capture all pallet transfers between pallet yards and plants on a daily schedule report on SAP
- Daily balance dispatch system with SAP and transfers report
- Report all discrepancies
Pallet deliveries
- Check daily deliveries received from transporters
- Check that paperwork(Sephaku pallet slips) quantity corresponds with the amount of pallets delivered at the pallet yard
- After delivery is confirmed, updates of the daily collection schedule on the shared drive
- Add the pallet slip detail to the SAP upload sheet when done updating the collection schedule
- Scan all pallet slips onto the shared drive
Customer Credits
- Weekly request Marketing dump from Marketing department
- Take the update pallet upload sheet and upload into SAP
- Update the daily collection schedule with the relevant 47 number
- Balance all credits passed for the day with the daily collection schedule, MB51(SAP) and Zpallet(SAP) reports
- Report all discrepancies
- Follow up on all customer queries regarding pallet credits
- File all slips uploaded to SAP per day, per month
Month End Stock Balance
- Assure all pallet credits were passed to the correct accounts
- Assure pallet slips discrepancies get passed to the Suspense account
- Balance all Pallet Yard Master sheets with SAP and dispatch system
- Update final stock count on all stock sheets
- Reconcile all pallet slip registers at pallet yards and plants
- Finalize transporter claims for the month
- Get all duplicated slips approved by Head Office (Centurion) and file per month
Desired Experience & Qualification
Skills/Qualifications:
- National senior certificate is essential
- NQF Level 4 – 5 Grade 12+ / Higher certificate in Transport/Logistics Operations and stock control is essential
Experience:
- 3 year(s) experience in Administrative Skills
- 3 year (s) experience in ERP Systems
- Display ability to work with large volumes of detail oriented tasks
