Introduction
A fintech company is changing the SME business funding model in South Africa through an innovative approach to business finance. The company has developed a unique online software product that automates the credit risk assessment process into an experience that offers SMEs financing options in a fast, effective and affordable facility. They are looking to hire a highly ambitious Financial Analyst/Business Analyst to operate within their Credit Team to assist in the process of analysing SMEs that have applied for funding. The ideal candidate would need a passion for working with SME and should have an affinity to working within the tech sector.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain data accuracy for appropriate credit decisions.
- Verify and analyse credit and financial information provided by customers.
- Identify and flag potential fraud attempts and financial issues.
- Assist the Credit Team with assessing applications and with credit decisioning.
- Assist existing customers with refinance requests, amending payment schedules, processing early settlements and assessing facility increase requests.
- Help the Engineering Team develop new processes for account management and application processing.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Completed SAICA/SAIPA/CIMA articles.
- Registered AGA(SA) / PA(SA) would be beneficial.
- BCom accounting or finance degree is preferred.
- Total work experience 2-4 years is preferred.
- Excellent excel skills.
- Xero, Quickbooks and cloud based software experience are beneficial.
Package & Remuneration
Salary Package: R30 000 – R40 000 p/m
