Introduction
The Software Licensing Specialist will be responsible to deliver SAM services to our clients to manage the client’s software estate, with respect to risk, cost control, governance, compliance, and performance objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Engage with Cloud SAM clients and ensure a consistent high level of service
- Assist in specific licensing agreements with new clients
- Establish effective licensing position analyses and deliver to clients
- Provide reports via SAM Software for client requests
- Provide monthly reports to clients using SAM Software
- Assist clients with software renewals and ad-hoc licensing queries
- Identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services
- Ensure clients are proactively managed in accordance with their agreed service levels
- Ensure that maintenance, support and upgrade protection renewals are managed/handled/ordered in advance of their expiration
- Ensure monthly reports are produced and SLAs are met in a timely fashion
- Manage contracts and relationships to maximize value creation and costs for software licensing, maintenance, and service offerings.
- Drive adoption of best practice and assist with new processes to improve Viadex SL service
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications / Experience required
- Strong knowledge of software licensing platforms such as Snow, Appclarity, Service Now or Flexera with 5+ years’ experience in the role of SAM analyst in a client-facing role
- Candidates should preferably hold Microsoft Licensing Sales Specialist (MLSS) and Microsoft Licensing Sales Expert (MLSE) qualifications
- Excellent MS Office skills including Word and Advanced Excel – including MS Power BI or advanced data analytics tools will be advantageous
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to learn quickly and manage own development
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
