Introduction
A well-established Engineering Company is looking for an experienced Milling & Turning Artisan to join their dynamic team, based in Olifantsfontein (Gauteng).
Duties & Responsibilities
- Understanding specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc.
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
- Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications.
- Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts.
- Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
- Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
- Support and partake in the implementation of quality objectives as per company and departmental strategy.
- Manufacturing of spare parts.
- Making changes to parts
- General Turning and Machining.
- Preform machine setting and changes when requested.
- Identify quality issues and reports.
- Complete all relevant documentation pertaining to maintenance system (MP2, CIP and Job Requests).
- Updating and control of engineering drawings.
- Assist with Tooling and new equipment try-outs.
- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric or equivalent
- Relevant Trade Tested / Qualified Artisan –
- Millwright
- Fitter and Turner
- Tool Jig and Die Maker
- CNC Programming
Experience in the following is an absolute must:
- Proven track record and a minimum of 4 years’ experience with traceable references
MILLING –
- Experience on HAAS & FANUC CONTROLS
- Experience on MASTERCAM 2017 and onwards
TURNING –
- Experience on FANUC CONTROLS
- Experience on MASTERCAM 2017 and onwards
Competencies:
- A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
- Good communication abilities
- Must be able to work under pressure and available for breakdowns
