Duties & Responsibilities
Main purpose of position
Currently we are looking for a Supply Chain Manager in Cape Town, South Africa to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Supply Chain Manager you will provide a Supply Chain management service to the relevant business unit through frequent reporting and ensuring that goods are delivered on time, within budget and compliant with procurement policies and within the expected quality requirement.
Main responsibilities
- Provide continuous input towards improvement and optimisation of the operating system
- Produce and maintain strategic documents, policies and procedures
- Implement procurement policy and procedure for the respective countries
- Set up and maintain frame agreements that match the strategic objectives of the spare parts strategy
- Advise on local account set up for consumable procurement
- Minimise down time on operations and maximise production through efficient supply chain performance
- Responsible for procurement of assets including spare parts
- Request proposals, evaluate, negotiate, conclude and contract service agreements and supply accounts
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, B.SC in business administration, Legal degree, B.SC QS or similar
- Excellent knowledge in Excel
- Proficient in MSWord
- Excellent knowledge of PowerPoint presentations
- Trained in contracts management (FIDIC)
- 8+ years’ experience in Supply Chain including:
- 2+ years’ experience in a managerial position
- Delivered at least two PV projects successfully from start to commissioning demonstrating knowledge in all areas applicable

- Presentation and report writing skills
- Excellent communication skills, convincing personality, customer, and goal oriented
- Speak and write English fluently. Other language skills like Spanish, German, French, Portuguese are an advantage

Additional information
- Should be available and accustomed to travel extensively internationally to 3rd world and other countries
