Introduction

A temporary position has become available for an Routine Maintenance Field Assistant ( Temp Position) to join our dynamic team, based in Pretoria.

Job Purpose

The purpose of the role is to provide assistance to the Routine Maintenance Project Manager with the asset management of al road furniture across the concession route. Assisting with the administration of the fleet and managing the accident claim process in its totality. Compiling reports, identifying critical items that need attention or items that is not in specification, providing recommendations based on the report and driving the process for all items to meet the specifications.

Duration : 6 Months

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Recording the road asset making use of the tools provided
  • Obtaining relevant SANRAL typical drawings and routin maintenance specifications for the assets.
  • Comparing the existing furniture and installation (asset) to the typical drawings and specifications.
  • Drawing up reports on the asset, identifying areas of concern, making recommendations, and following up on outstanding matters to resolve any nonconformance.
  • Administration of accident claims submitted to the insurance company by registering the claim.
  • Obtaining relevant information from parties within the company to compile the claim in the required format i.e. soft copy).
  • Compile the claim by finalising the costing, the evidence and supporting documentation in the required format.
  • Obtaining the relevant signatures and then submit the claim to the relevant party for pursual.
  • Filing the claim and recordkeeping of progress of processing.
  • Following up on progress of the processing of the claims and closing out all claims in due course.
  • Administration of the fleet, providing regular updates to the performance of vehicles.
  • Identifying concerns and escalating abuse of the fleet to the relevant department Manager.
  • Provide regular updates on the performance of tracking devices and cameras installed in the vehicle, escalating any issue to the fleet manager for action.
  • Drawing up fleet reports as and when requested.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Grade 12
  • Unendorsed Code 08 Drivers Licence
  • Technical Diploma (i.e. CIVIL preferred)
  • Excellent Communication Skills in English
  • Excellent mathematical Skills
  • Excellent Computer Literacy Skills in MS Word and Excel
  • Intermediate understanding and interpreting of drawings.
  • Intermediate understanding and interpreting of specifications.
  • Interpersonal Relationship Skills
  • Self-Management
  • Basic Business Management Skills
  • Time management and organization skills.
