Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintains a strategic approach to ensuring the effective conduct of companies Public Affairs in South Africa
- Ensure South Africa has an effective approach to Public Affairs, meaning that we conduct our business in line with our core values, building the brand and reputation of the Organisation encapsulated in companies brand promise
- Managing the Public Affairs of company, including establishing and overseeing policies and processes
- Serve as a trusted advisor on a wide range of strategic, tactical and operational issues of the business related to the Public Affairs of the company in the region
- Responsible for the company’s brand and reputation in the public arena
- Acts as the “face” of the organisation for key external and stakeholders providing advice to ensure maximum impact in the region, including compliance matters, liaising with industry bodies and other regulatory matters
- Implementing projects, including public affairs & corporate affairs policies and programs, as directed by the companies Public Affairs team
- Aligning the Public Affairs strategy liaising with key stakeholders on current and future topics to strengthen the companies presence in South Africa through strong relationships with key stakeholders enabling the ease of doing business across the country
Desired Experience & Qualification
- University Degree in relevant field
- Minimum of 10 years’ post qualification experience in FMCG or Alcoholic Beverages industry
- Experience with governmental & regulatory stakeholders at local/international levels
- Knowledge of public affairs in South Africa
