Introduction
As International Mining House is looking for a Mine Planning Manager to join their team in the Northern Cape.
The successful incumbent will be directing underground mining, engineering, and technical staff and well as managing essential and sophisticated operating requirements of the mine. They will lead technical plans and activities.
Duties & Responsibilities
To direct underground mining, engineering and technical personnel. Coordinate major and complex operating requirements with technical plans and activities.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in mining engineering operational time such as blasting, drilling, haulage and service crew works.
- BSc. Mining Engineering.
- Software: 2D & 3D Deswik Mine Planning Solutions.
- Scheduling (Short, Medium and Long Term)
- Hands-on underground, metalliferous mine design experience in a 3D environment, with at least some knowledge/experience relative to massive mining methods
- An understanding of the actual production environment, preferably having spent some time working in an underground operation
- As an added advantage, a government ticket for metalliferous mines such as Mine Surveyors or Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency
- Some background on the reporting of Ore Reserves
- Demonstrated ability, knowledge, and experience to train and develop junior mining engineers
