BACHELOR’S DEGREE, PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION OR EQUIVALENT IN ACCOUNTING OR COMMERCE

EVIDENCE OF CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCE AT SENIOR MANAGEMENT LEVEL

 

Reporting to the Hospital CEO and managing, financial, accounting and supply chain management systems of the Hospital, ensuring good governance arrangements and profitability of the business.

  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of current financial issues impacting the Health Care sector
  • Good understanding of the health sector standards in order to monitor governance arrangements
  • Ability to control the cash flow position throughout the company, understand the sources and uses of cash and maintain the integrity of funds, securities and other valuable documents
  • Understand the company’s business model for generating customer value and translate the operational metrics into measure for performance
  • Overall executive responsibility for the financial management, control, financial strategy and financial records of the company
  • Delivery of accurate financial and performance information to the CEO and Board of Directors of the company to enable effective decision making and a standard of excellence, accuracy and transparency that reflects the values and strategic goals of the company
  • Providing leadership and direction to the Finance, Procurement, IT and other relevant departments in the company

 

  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of current financial issues impacting on the Health Care Sector
  • Good understanding of Health Care Sectors in order to monitor governance arrangements
  • Ability to control the cash flow position of the company
  • Understand the company business model for generating customer value and translate the operational metrics into measure for performance
  • Ability to analyse company shareholder relations policies, procedures and information programmes, including the annual and interim reports to Shareholders and the Board of Directors
  • Ability to manage the budget process, collecting the inputs and comparing the company’s actual performance with estimates (the budget)
  • Good understanding of approaches which improves quality while also enabling cost efficiencies
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
