Introduction

National company is looking for an experienced and driven Internal Telesales Consultant to join their team at the East London office.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prospecting / canvassing clients for new business telephonically
  • To plan and prioritise customer/prospect contacts to ensure achievement of agreed sales targets
  • To effectively manage your and external sales team time in order to achieve set targets
  • To negotiate and manage new business appointment arrangements for the external sales team
  • To maintain the required volume of outbound calls to exceed the targets and maintain an agreed standard of response rates on incoming calls
  • To use personal judgement and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles as part of daily activities
  • To use prospect and customer contact tools and systems, to manage the day to day running of the external sales team diaries – CRM
  • To respond and follow up sales enquires, using appropriate methods
  • To be responsible for sourcing new leads for various sectors from different sources
  • To demonstrate a flexible attitude if requested to assist in other areas of the business as and when required
  • To communicate, liaise and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business, and sustainable relationships
  • Manage the input of information into CRM
  • Follow up on all the team’s paperwork, credit applications, stationary, credit requests and client queries etc. so as to enable the external sales consultant to be freed up enough to do new business calls to grow the team base as set by management.
  • Check rates in PP are 100% correct after account starts with us / increases are given
  • To manage the diary of the external consultant.
  • To call existing clients regularly to establish their happiness / contentment with our services.
  • To assist in the co-ordination of marketing campaigns – package goods, email and follow through to gain maximum new business.
  • To be ready to back up the external consultant in the event of leave / illness or other.
  • Generate new proposals for external consultants as needed
  • Assist with rate increases.
  • Assist / generate SLA’s for the Top Clients monthly
  • Analyse new client spend vs. the rates and credit limit requested
  • Related paperwork, CRM entries, operational requirements, marketing, advertising will be part of the job description. You will be expected to attend events outside of normal working hours.
  • Sales Uniform must be purchased over time and must be worn daily, so that you are always prepared for a client visit.
  • Candidate must be well groomed at all times
  • Candidate must have a likable demeanour and be able to interact easily with clients / colleagues
  • Targets are set to be reached and candidates should know that disciplinary action will be taken should these targets not be met.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Matric
  • Previous experience of around 2 years in customer services / telesales is a must
  • Computer Literacy: Excel and CRM
  • Methodical, articulate and systematic
  • Excellent Communication Skills {Written and Oral}
  • Administrative Skills
  • Candidates should have a vehicle license and having a vehicle at your disposal will be an advantage to your application.
