Introduction
Yeast City Housing is the first social housing company in the City of Tshwane and one of the first in South Africa. We operate within the framework of the Social Housing Act. Our mandate is to ensure decent, affordable housing, and to contribute to urban regeneration and social inclusion through well-managed social housing.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Optimise rental collections above 98%
- Timely and effective collection of all debts and customer’s payments
- Manage recoveries related to rental collections
- Administer rental charges
- Negotiating re-payment plans with tenants
- Generate quotation information for prospective tenants
- Review all tenants’ invoices and verify accuracy
- Liaise with the Caretakers of Yeast City Housing to deliver invoices rental reminder letters
- Ensure rental deposits are paid prior to tenant occupation of the unit
- Review Age Analysis daily and take appropriate action
- Generate and send out rental reminders
- Reconcile with the bookkeeper all rental payments received
- Manage the termination of lease process and advise necessary action required
- Track arear accounts and flag for appropriate action
- Liaise with legal structures regarding bad debt
- Attend to tenants’ queries and provide solutions timeously
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Financial, Accounting and budgeting
- Eviction Management & Risk management
- Knowledge of the relevant legislation and regulations
- Customer service
- Attention to detail
- Emotional intelligence & relationship management
- Conflict management & problem solving
- Credit Control Management or relevant qualification
- 3 years’ work experience in Property Management
