Introduction
Our agency is assisting an Afrikaans speaking family with a vacancy for a Home School teacher.
Key role:
Be compassionate and patient to assist a special needs grade 6 learner with home schooling. This is an in-person role.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
- Planning of appropriate, curriculum-based schoolwork
- Guidance and motivation with schoolwork, with the emphasis on patience
- Maintaining of a healthy routine with a balance between educational schoolwork and recreational activities/ breaks.
More on the position:
- The family resides in Irene, Centurion
- Working hours will be based on typical school terms and school days.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- A caring person with a university degree in education, psychology or occupational therapy
- Proven teaching experience (either foundation phase or intermediate phase)
- Some experience with learning challenges such as ADHD would be beneficial
- Knowledge of tutoring/ home schooling would be an advantage
- A Pretoria-based individual, with a driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
- Ideally be able to start 6 April 2021.
Package & Remuneration
Salary: A market-related teacher salary, based on qualification and experience.
