Introduction
Our Client is looking for a Quality Control Manager who will be responsible for for general Quality Control duties. This position requires a Candidate who has had previous Managerial experience within the MEAT industry.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Managing QCs
- Managing Cleaners
- Signing off on QC records
- Non-conformance and corrective actions
- Trending of chemical usage
- Consumable stock takes (and issuing)
- Chemical stock take and ordering
- Traceability exercises
- Conducting the internal HAS with the Chief Meat Inspector
- Animal Welfare audits with LAWA
- Internal ISO 22002 audits (PRP)
- Quarterly VPH-HAS audits
- ZA Audits
- Training (Induction, Annual refresher and ad hoc)
- Managing the training program
- Exports
Desired Experience & Qualification
- BSc or ND in scientific field
- Supervisory / Management experience
- Meat industry experience
- Internal Auditor (MUST)
- HACCP / ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000 experience (training NB)
- Knowledge of the Meat Safety Act and Regulations
