Quality Assurance Pharmacist with good Responsible Pharmacist experience in Medical Devices-
One of SA’s leading pharmaceutical and medical devices companies, with an impressive array of industry leading products and brands, has an opportunity for an experienced RP (3 to 5+ years) on medical devices. One of the primary functions is to check and update the QA SOP’s and implement ISO 13485, ISO 9001 and MDD 93/42/EEC compliance across the medical devices division. And to do internal and external audits. This will be in addition to the regular ‘full-function’ RP function.
It is a medical warehouse environment where the Warehouse Manager runs the logistics side of the warehouse operation, and the RP ensures compliance to GMP, ISO standards, the Pharmacy and Medicines’ and related Acts and Councils.
Duties & Responsibilities
Job Function:
- Full-function RP role (B.Pharm degree required).
- QA release of dvice products in line with SOP’s and GMP.
- Maintain regulatory compliance against ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and the MDD 93/42/EEC.
- Responsible for the control (initiation, reviewing, updating, issuing, superseding) of all documentation, i.e. SOP’s, technical agreements, master manufacturing & packaging, raw material and packaging material specifications, site master file, quality manual, quality management reviews and quality risk assessments.
- Pharmacovigilance & complaints.
- Responsible for quarantined goods
- Self inspections, internal and external audits, and corrective actions / CAPA’s.
- Responsible for Quality Management Review and Quality Risk assessment
- Responsible for Pharmacovigilance
- Review of promotional materials
Desired Experience & Qualification
Requirements:
- B.Pharm degree (non-negotiable).
- 5+ years Responsible Pharmacist experience in a medical devices company.
- Strong QA experience in this area is required – SOP’s, GMP, Compliance, Audits.
- ISO 13485 experience required
- Location close to Midrand or Centurion.
Package & Remuneration
Salary package negotiable – around R900k to R1 million p.a.
Expecting to pay a salary of R70k to R75k ctc to attract a top candidate.
Plus an annual incentive bonus.
