The Faculty of HUMANITIES SOCIAL SCIENCES AND LAW wishes to appoint a suitably qualified Associate Professor to join the Department of ARTS in the English Unit. A WSU Professor is an academic with attributes as defined by the policy on academic appointments and promotions, with duties in teaching and learning, research and community engagement. An Associate Professor is a prominent research leader with an outstanding track record and is expected to supervise higher level post-graduate students.
Duties & Responsibilities
Minimum Requirements
- PhD in English Language Studies / Linguistics
Experience
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in lecturing at an institution of higher learning.
- Evidence of successful postgraduate supervision
- Evidence of publications in accredited journals
